New sites: Wild Sparks Dunkeld, Kirriemuir & beyond...

This summer we'll be trying out some new sites, in Kirriemuir and Dunkeld.

Caddam Woods, Kirriemuir:
Pupils of Northmuir primary school can sign up to join our After School programme, which will run on Tuesdays from 30 April - 10 June. Forest Schools Leaders Alice and Jo will collect children from school, walk to the site as group and enjoy a couple of hours free play, forest skills and adventure. We'll head back to the woodland entrance at the end of Mid Road for parent pick ups at 5.30pm.

I'm really excited about this one... I used to work at an after school facility in London, at and adventure playground and there was something really special about the same group meeting up each week and sharing a meal together. We won't be providing a meal but there will be snacks and circle time to bring everyone together.

Atholl Estate & @the Field, Dunkeld
Children and families from Dunkeld can now enjoy the Wild Sparks playscheme magic close to home. In partnership with a lovely crew of pro-active parents and @ the Field community growing project Wild Sparks will be running playdays each Wednesday from 2 July - 13 August.

We have access to a fire pit @ the field and acres of beautiful mixed woodland to roam and set up camp. Each day will have a theme and feature skills sharing, free play, group games and nature immersion!

We're also helping schools access and develop nearby woodland spaces, with good things unfolding in Blairgowrie, Glendelvine and Kettins.

We're always interested in new sites.... get in touch if you have an idea for a public or private space that could become and forest school site.
